Air Rail Link Spur (UP Express)

A rail spur connecting airline passengers to the GO Transit network for service to Union Station in downtown Toronto.

It’s North America’s first dedicated air-rail link, offering a 25-minutes journey from end to end, no matter what’s happening on the roads or in the weather forecast.

Project Overview

The Airport Rail Link Spur is a three km elevated guideway structure travelling from the existing rail right of way and runs into the Toronto Pearson Airport Terminal 1. The guideway will support two rail lines as part of the UP Express service that will provide the final approach link into Toronto Pearson International for trains coming from Union Station.
