Plants, Equipment and Technology Department
The Plants, Equipment and Technology (P.E.T.) Department consists of three maintenance facilities used to service Dufferin Construction, TCG and Cayuga Construction. Dufferin Construction’s primary maintenance shop is located in Oakville, Ontario, and our other facilities are located in Cayuga and London, Ontario.
Our team of skilled mechanics are responsible for the in-house and on-site maintenance and repair of construction equipment. All three maintenance facilities have an Administration Department that handles Accounts Payable and other administrative services pertaining to communications, capital expenditures, plants, yards and Quality Control.
The P.E.T. Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of our asphalt and concrete plants. Specialty Superintendents report to the P.E.T. Department and are responsible for the supervision of asphalt, concrete and structural crews, and operations. Working directly with the Operations team, the Specialty Superintendent manages crews, equipment and allocation of construction resources.
The P.E.T. Department has a strong emphasis on continuous improvement through on-going research and development of new construction technology.
